It is becoming increasingly more common for middle schoolers to play up on the varsity level, but it is still a feat in its own regard. Playing against many players five years older than him, 2021 Jacory Brooks showed that he had no problem holding his own at Hoop MIA’s “The Warmup” in Miami.

A 6-foot-2 wing, Jacory has the physical makeup of a guy with serious potential down the road. He has an amazing frame, very long arms, and an explosive burst that he uses on both ends of the hardwood. Starting for SLAM Academy, we were able to watch him defend all three positions on the perimeter, knock down open three pointers, and finish through contact in transition. Brooks will need to get a little more under control and continue to develop as a decision maker, but all of the tools and raw talent are there of an intriguing middle schooler who is already getting run on the varsity level. Doubling as an elite wide receiver prospect, the future is definitely bright for Jacory Brooks.

Keep checking for more updates from Hoop MIA’s “The Warmup.
